Interestingly, you found a tradition that has innate wisdom about man-made creations (when the man gives life to its creation, which is something only God can do).

Sadly, while in the original story, the golem was created to protect the community, I feel that the purpose of today's AI systems is to make money for the 0.5% of the people (those owning the AI), while if in the process, AIs manage to also serve the humanity - that's secondary.

I believe regulation is necessary, and we need it fast. Also, creating frameworks that ensure that the AI really serves humanity, not just the next generation of nouveau riches.
